What to Bring
Preparing for your stay can make arrival easier. Use this checklist and read the Resident Handbook provided before admission. Ask intake if you are unsure about an item.
Clothing
Bring practical, comfortable clothing suitable for Moree weather, daily activities, groups, chores and recreation in a mixed-gender centre. Include light clothing for hot weather and warmer options for cooler days.
Toiletries and personal items
Bring new and unopened toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, a toothbrush and deodorant. You may bring laundry powder and other approved personal items. Ask intake about products containing alcohol, as some may not be permitted.
Medication
Bring all medication in its original packaging with the pharmacy label visible, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, supplements and herbal products. Hand all medication to staff on arrival for safe storage and administration.
Bring enough regular medication or ensure prescriptions and payment arrangements are ready. See FAQs for medication arrangements during your stay.
Cards and identification
- Medicare card.
- Health Care Card, if you have one.
- Debit or credit card. Maayu Mali does not accept cash.
Phone and other devices
You may bring your mobile phone, but it is stored securely and used only at approved times under the Resident Handbook. Other Wi-Fi-enabled devices and smartwatches are not permitted. Phones must not be used to photograph or record residents, staff, visitors or the facility.
Do not bring
Do not bring alcohol, drugs, vapes, weapons, unsafe items or food. Avoid valuables and large amounts of belongings because space is limited. Ask intake before bringing anything you are uncertain about.
See Frequently Asked Questions for more detail or contact intake before admission.
