  2. Step 2

    Complete the online application

  3. Step 3

    We contact you

Our intake team will attempt to contact you after receiving your application. If we cannot reach you after three attempts, we will send an SMS. Your application may be closed, but you are welcome to reapply when ready.

  4. Step 4

    Phone assessment

If Maayu Mali may be suitable, we arrange a phone assessment about your needs, readiness, risks and supports. We may ask for medical, legal or other information before making a decision.

  5. Step 5

    Application outcome

You may be accepted to the waitlist, asked for more information, or advised that another service may better meet your needs. We will help identify other options where possible.

Acceptance to the waitlist means the required assessment steps are complete and you have been assessed as suitable. It does not mean a bed is immediately available.

  6. Step 6

    Stay in contact while waiting

Wait times depend on bed availability, resident mix, safety and program needs. Stay in contact with intake as advised so we know whether you are still ready, available and suitable for admission.

  7. Step 7

    Prepare for admission

You must complete detox and arrive medically stable, free from acute withdrawal and able to participate safely. Maayu Mali does not provide detox. Contact intake if you need guidance about preparing for admission.

  8. Step 8

    Confirm your admission

When a place becomes available, we confirm your arrival date and discuss transport, medication, what to bring, payments and final documents.

Your Welcome Pack is provided digitally with your admission paperwork. The Resident Handbook and orientation information are provided before admission so you can read the expectations and ask questions.

See What to Bring and Our Location when planning your arrival. Contact intake if anything is unclear.
